Description
Lilium maculatum is a Japanese native, and the variety alpinum is supposedly a more compact form of the species. I have not been able to find a valid publication of the variety, there is a “var. monticola” as well as a validly published Lilium dauricum var. alpinum. I’m listing this rather nice and compact looking species under the name the seeds were received as, with the caveat further digging may be needed to verify the actual identity.
