(CN: Yunnan: Diqing, Weixi, Xinhua)
One of my favourite species for the garden, happily running around borders and setting plenty of offsets, but never becoming a nuisance. Quick and easy from seeds, I’ve even had it flowering in it’s first year when sown under lights in January, although expect year 2-3 with standard treatment. Bone hardy, and tolerant of seemingly everything.
With all our introductions being from Xianggelila and northern parts of Yunnan I’m curious to compare it to those from Lancangjiang, although I admittedly doubt there’s too much difference.
